In Our Shoes
Who are we when we take our shoes off? We show the world this version of ourselves that might not really be us, and everyone thinks that's normal. But when we go home and the shoes come off, we are able to let go and be free to do things without being judged. Others are shocked when they see how we live; how we don't keep up the facade we show the world. Why is that such a bad thing? Why must we be held up to a standard that almost no can achieve? What if it's the opposite? The person we show the world is our true self, but at home we are put under and suffocate on the fact that we can't be who we really are. People are still shocked. We are judged at just about every corner of our lives, in turn making us doubt if we are or want to be the person we say we are. Instead of being the us when the shoes are off or on, we should be able to be us at anytime.
